It was a matter of time before China began producing original, world-class industrial design, which will hopefully allow them to put the piracy rep in the rearview mirror. This M10 powerbank, by Shenzhen-based tech accessories company Aulumu, is a striking example of homegrown design.

Rather than creating a boring brick, the company pursued the cyberpunk aesthetic, yielding a techno-futuristic asymmetrical body and an innovative feature: The lanyard is actually the charging cable.

The device can also charge wirelessly, featuring a MagSafe-compatible charging pad.

Lastly it's TSA-compliant for carry-on use, being under 100Wh.

The M10 runs $90.
